An Inconvenient Truth
Al Gore's film about global warming is an excellent resource. There is plenty of additional material relating to the film on the web but two of the most useful resources are a transcript of the whole film and a 26-page PDF study guide.

English Trailers
English-trailers.com is a really neat site which uses movie trailers as the basis for language activities. Each trailer has a summary, a cloze exercise, notes on key vocabulary and a quiz. There are currently 55 trailers listed, which makes a lot of listening practice. If you create an account (free), you can see even more trailers and save your scores. Highly recommended.
